Meet Dr. Kenneth Jainandan
VIPcare Dental has some exciting news coming out of Tampa. We have a new dentist that’s joined our team and is ready to enhance your smile. We are thrilled to have Dr. Kenneth Jainandan join our Lutz clinic and can’t wait for you to meet him.
He brings a wealth of experience in practicing dentistry and treating complex dental and surgical cases.
“I thoroughly enjoy crown and bridge, and the dynamic changes one can see once a fractured or disintegrated tooth is restored with a full-coverage restoration,” he said.
Who is Dr. Kenneth Jainandan?
Dr. Kenneth (as his patients call him) was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. As a youth, he was drawn to tasks and projects where he got to use his hands, problem-solve, and research how various things worked. This curiosity eventually led him to pursue a career in dentistry in the states.
“I love dentistry because it is the perfect career, combining art, science, and engineering – with great attention to detail,” he said.
Dr. Kenneth attended Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, where he earned his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Latin American/Caribbean Affairs. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Finally, he completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City before returning to Florida to begin his career.
Making Smiles Bright
Throughout his career, Dr. Kenneth has had much hands-on experience as both an associate and a managing clinical dentist. At one point, he even served as an acting dental director. In that role, he had the opportunity to mentor younger clinicians on how to provide excellent patient care while remaining clinically proficient and efficient.
“This position not only allowed me to offer my acquired knowledge and expertise to guide younger dentists, but it allowed me to work both on the business as well as patient side of dentistry,” he said.
And although he immensely enjoyed this mentoring role, he missed his daily patient and team interactions. His home office had grown exponentially, and he could no longer do both dental directing and chair-side dentistry concurrently. Consequently, he decided to return to the chair.
“I am happy to be able to provide care to patients, ensuring they have happy and healthy smiles,” he said. “This allows me to leave the office on a daily basis with a great sense of accomplishment.”
Dr. Kenneth is excited to be joining VIPcare Dental and looks forward to joining you on your road to Better Teeth and Better Health.
